Zanzibar
“The African background, the Arabic architecture, the Indian influenced food and the heritage from the colonial times make the island of Zanzibar a mystical place and one of the best examples of the Swahili culture. Located only 40 kms away from the Tanzanian coast, this is just a different world: the historic downtown in Stone Town, tropical landscapes and beautiful beaches to relax and enjoy the leisurely life and the good food.“

STONE TOWN
The downtown of Stone Town is a unique representation of the Swahili architecture and culture, designated as World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Here you can just walk its labyrinthic streets and admire the decaying facades of the old buildings and the wide variety of Swahili doors, real works of art, each one different and with its own history. Stone Town is also the perfect place to buy typical Zanzibar souvenirs like the famous carved wooden boxes, spices, wooden frames and many other handmade products. At the end of the day, you will enjoy the beautiful sunset with the traditional boats (dhows) in the background.
BEACHES
Zanzibar beaches are famous for their white sands and crystal clear waters. They are ideal to swim when the tide is high and they offer an amazing spectacle when the tide is low: the local women dressed in their colorful clothes working on the seaweed farms with the different blues of the ocean in the backround.
